Christianity and Science is the first English translation of Herman Bavinck’s Christelijke wetenschap, originally published in 1904. Here Bavinck focuses on the impact of the Christian worldview on the modern university, and how Christian scholars might apply particular doctrines in the service of the various academic disciplines, such as the humanities, religious studies, and the natural sciences. A companion to Bavinck’s Christian Worldview (Crossway, 2019), Christianity and Science offers edifying reflections useful for faculty development at institutions of Christian higher education as well as for individual scholars reflecting on their callings.
